    Have read, taken notes on, and be ready to discuss Whitman's poem "When I Heard the Learn'd Astronomer" (M 333) [guidesheet available as printable PDF or through library course reserve]
    Poetry Group #1 will teach the poem to the class--treat their presentation seriously, since you will be responsible for knowing the material they teach.
